Desi was born on October 20th and grew up right here in Elwood, Utah. She is a busy mom to five wonderful kids and loves every bit of it. She and Jed have their twin boys, Stuart and Wes, Marlee, Emmitt, and Cecelia. She says she has especially had fun having twins.
Something that many people may not know about Desi is that she has a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering from Utah State. She even finished this degree when Stuart and Wes were one year old. Way to go!!! Something else unique about Desi is her love of personal finance stuff. She has taken classes and reads everything she can about it. She has created dozens of spreadsheets in Excel and loves working with the Excel program.
Some of Desi's hobbies include: reading, running (she completed a half marathon this month!) playing the piano, home improvement projects, and decorating. She prefers working outside to doing work inside though.
Desi's hero is her mom. She admires her hardworking attitude and especially loves her mother's selflessness.
Desi's favorite book is one that she read when she was around 12 years old. It has always stood out to her and helped her fall even more in love with reading. It is 'Shimmering Sands' by Victoria Holt.
